Toumani Camara posted 19 points and 10 rebounds to help keep Georgia undefeated with an 83-68 victory over visiting Cincinnati in a nonleague game Saturday in Athens, Ga.
Tye Fagan had 17 points and nine rebounds, Justin Kier had 18 points and three steals and Sahvir Wheeler added 12 and seven assists for the Bulldogs (6-0), who had nine of 11 players score.
Cincinnati (2-4) was led by Jeremiah Davenport and Keith Williams, who scored 18 and 14 points, respectively.
Georgia made 29 of 59 (49.2 percent) attempts from the field and sank 21 of 25 free throws to turn a close game into a rout. Cincinnati made 26 of 67 attempts from the field (38.8 percent) and struggled considerably at the foul line, making just 11 of 20 attempts.
Trailing 49-26 at halftime, Cincinnati went on a 13-2 run to open the second half, pulling to within 51-39 on Tari Eason's dunk with 16:13 remaining.
But Georgia made the plays it needed to down the stretch to keep its record unblemished. Christian Brown capped a 12-5 run with a layup to extend the lead to 63-44 with 9:55 left.
The Bearcats never threatened again and extended their losing streak to three games, having also lost to then No. 12 Tennessee and South Florida in the past eight days.
Georgia took control of the game with eight minutes left in the first half. Leading 21-20, Georgia closed the half on a 28-6 run to take a 49-26 advantage into intermission.
Eight Georgia players scored in the first half, led by Camara's 14 points, while Kier had nine, Fagan had eight and Brown added seven.
Georgia made 20 of 36 attempts from the field (57.1 percent) and outrebounded the Bearcats, 26-18 and forced 13 turnovers in the first half. Georgia also made 7 of 8 free throws, and cashed in 16 points off the Cincinnati turnovers.
Cincinnati was dreadful offensively in the first 20 minutes. The Bearcats missed all six of their chances at the foul line, made just 2 of 17 on 3-point attempts and finished 12 of 37 from the field (32.4 percent.)
