Drew Timme exploded for 28 points on 11 of 12 shooting to propel top-ranked Gonzaga to a 100-61 victory over host San Francisco in West Coast Conference play on Saturday.
Timme made his first eight field-goal attempts while scoring 21 first-half points to help the Bulldogs (20-0, 11-0 WCC) stretch their national-best winning streak to 24 games. Timme also collected 10 rebounds while playing just 22 minutes en route to notching his second straight double-double and fourth of the campaign.
Joel Ayayi, Aaron Cook and Corey Kispert scored 12 points apiece as Gonzaga clinched its 24th straight 20-win season. Jalen Suggs added 11 points, five rebounds and five assists as the Bulldogs defeated San Francisco for the 21st straight time.
Jamaree Bouyea and Khalil Shabazz scored 14 points apiece for the Dons (10-10, 4-6), who have lost four of their past five games. San Francisco never led in the contest.
Gonzaga shot 61 percent from the field and 10 of 21 from 3-point range while playing its fifth straight road game. The Bulldogs were 21 of 28 (75 percent) from the field in the second half.
San Francisco shot 35 percent, including a dismal 7 of 33 from behind the arc. The Dons committed 15 turnovers against just five assists.
Timme scored 15 points on 7 of 7 shooting over the first six-plus minutes as Gonzaga took a 17-2 advantage.
The Bulldogs led 20-4 before San Francisco even made a field goal. The Dons missed their first 10 shots before Anthony Roy's basket with 11:35 left in the half.
Timme's eighth straight made shot was a 3-pointer to make it 30-12 with 6:41 remaining.
Gonzaga ripped off nine straight points later in the half to increase its lead to 25 before settling for a 48-26 halftime advantage.
The Bulldogs' lead reached 30 for the first time at 58-28 on Timme's jumper with 16:12 left in the game.
Gonzaga scored nine consecutive points later in the half as Timme's final basket boosted the lead to 78-39 with 9:15 remaining.
Dominick Harris knocked down a 3-pointer with 2:05 left to push the lead above 40 for the first time at 97-56, and the Zags reached 100 for the fourth time this season while closing it out.
