ARIZONA 71, COLORADO 57: Jesse Perry scored 13 of his 17 points in the second half –including seven in a 55-second span – and added 10 rebounds to catapult the host Wildcats to their third straight victory and a split of the season series.
Solomon Hill recorded 16 points and 13 rebounds and reigning Pac-12 Player of the Week Kyle Fogg scored 15 points for the Wildcats (17-8, 8-4 Pac-12), who lost 64-63 at Boulder on Jan. 21.
Andre Roberson had 12 points and 11 rebounds for his 15th double-double of the season as the Buffaloes (16-8, 8-4) lost for only the second time in their last seven games.
Perry scored seven straight Arizona points to give the Wildcats a 62-50 lead with 3:40 left, and they were never threatened again.
Hill’s jumper finished a 12-4 run as Arizona took a 34-25 lead before Nate Tomlinson’s 3-pointer made it a six-point game at intermission. Hill scored 13 points in the first half.
Colorado quickly tied the game at 36 with an 8-2 run, capped by Roberson’s dunk 3:10 into the second half.
GAME NOTEBOOK: Roberson entered the game fifth in the nation in rebounding (11.2) per game and in double-doubles, and is the only player averaging a double-double in Pac-12 contests. … Arizona outscored Colorado 26-9 at the free throw line. … Perry and Hill each have nine double-doubles this season. … Colorado fell to 11-54 on the road, including 4-41 in conference games, since the start of 2006-07.
