Isaiah Thomas had 22 points, 10 assists and six rebounds to lead No. 20 Washington to an 85-68 victory over No. 25 Arizona on Thursday in a Pac-10 game at Seattle.
Justin Holiday scored 22 points and Matthew Bryan-Amaning had 18 points and seven rebounds as Washington (16-3, 5-1 Pac-10) shot 48 percent from the field and solidified its hold on the top spot in the Pac-10.
Washington used an 8-0 run to take a 28-18 lead with 5:03 left in the first half before Arizona closed the gap to five at halftime. Arizona took a 44-43 lead with 16:08 left in the second half, but Washington used a 13-4 run, fueled by eight points from Bryan-Amaning, to take a 56-48 lead with less than 13 minutes remaining.
The Huskies stretched the lead to double digits with 4:11 left in the game on an offensive rebound and layup by center Aziz N’Diaye.
Derrick Williams had 22 points and 11 rebounds for Arizona (15-4, 4-2), which had its three-game winning streak snapped.
