Cole Anthony produced 23 points, nine assists and seven rebounds to lead the Orlando Magic to a 113-95 victory over the host Portland Trail Blazers on Tuesday night.
Wendell Carter Jr. contributed 18 points, eight rebounds, five assists and three blocked shots as the Magic snapped a string of 10 straight losses against the Trail Blazers. Chuma Okeke also scored 18 for Orlando.
Gary Harris scored 15 points, Franz Wagner added 13 points, nine rebounds and seven assists and Mo Bamba recorded 13 points and nine rebounds as Orlando defeated Portland for the first time since Jan. 13, 2017.
Anfernee Simons scored 17 of his 19 points in the second half for the Trail Blazers, who have lost six straight games and eight of their past nine.
Greg Brown III registered 15 points and eight rebounds, Jusuf Nurkic added 14 points and 11 rebounds, and Ben McLemore scored 13 points for Portland.
The Trail Blazers had just nine available players after trading CJ McCollum, Larry Nance Jr. and Tony Snell to the New Orleans Pelicans earlier Tuesday. The Trail Blazers obtained Josh Hart, three other players and three draft picks in the deal.
Orlando rookie Jalen Suggs exited after one quarter due to Achilles soreness.
The Magic were 19 of 38 from 3-point range and shot 48.9 percent overall from the field while improving to 5-4 over their past nine games.
Justise Winslow tallied 12 points and CJ Elleby added 11 points and nine rebounds for Portland, which made 35.2 percent of its shots, including 11 of 38 from behind the arc.
Orlando put the game away with a late 14-0 run that increased the lead to a game-high 20.
Wagner drilled a 3-pointer to give Orlando a 102-93 lead with 2:58 remaining. Carter followed with an inside hoop and Wagner made another trey to make it 107-93. Okeke connected on back-to-back 3-pointers from the left corner to push the lead to 113-93 with 51.3 seconds remaining.
The Trail Blazers trailed 68-51 early in the third quarter before using a 15-2 burst to move within four. Orlando's lead was 83-79 entering the final period.
Bamba scored 13 points on 6-of-6 shooting in the first half as the Magic held a 62-47 lead.
Orlando led 32-28 after one quarter before leading by as many as 17 points during the second. Portland made just 7 of 25 field-goal attempts during the stanza.
