The Jazz built a 14-point advantage after one quarter and stretched the margin to 19 on a basket by Evans with just under nine minutes to go in the first half before Minnesota rolled off the next 15 points to get back into the contest. Martin gave the Timberwolves a brief lead with a 3-pointer midway through the third quarter and he scored Minnesota's last seven points in regulation to send the game into overtime.
