Grizzlies 109, Trail Blazers 99: Marc Gasol paced a balanced attack with 19 points, nine rebounds and seven assists as host Memphis won for the fifth time in six games.

Zach Randolph added 18 points and 12 rebounds for the Grizzlies, who shot 56 percent from the floor and 50 percent from beyond the arc. Mike Conley had 17 points, Courtney Lee chipped in 16 and Mike Miller contributed 14.

Damian Lillard erupted for 32 points for the Trail Blazers, who have dropped three straight to open their five-game road trip. LaMarcus Aldridge added 19 points and 10 rebounds but shot just 8-for-23 in defeat.

Memphis broke open a tightly-contested game near the midway point of the second quarter. Randolph hit a transition layup and a short jumper as part of a 9-3 run, and Conley capped the surge with a 3-pointer in the final minute as the Grizzlies went into the break ahead 54-47.

The Grizzlies came out firing in the second half, hitting their first six shots to open up a 14-point lead and limiting Portland to one field goal over a stretch of more than 5 1/2 minutes late in the third quarter en route to a 78-69 advantage. They began the fourth in a similar hot-shooting fashion - going 5-of-6 to open the quarter - and Portland didn't get closer than nine points the rest of the way.
