Cavaliers 117, Nuggets 109: Kyrie Irving scored 23 points and Tristan Thompson added 20 points and 10 rebounds as Cleveland snapped Denver's four-game home winning streak.
C.J. Miles scored 19 points and Luol Deng added 18 for the Cavaliers, who finished 3-2 on their road trip for their first winning trek of more than one game since Feb. 23-26 last year. Jarrett Jack scored 13 off the bench for Cleveland.
Wilson Chandler scored 23 points to lead the Nuggets, who lost for only the second time in eight games. Ty Lawson tallied 19 points and 11 assists and Nate Robinson added 19 points off the bench.
The Cavaliers led by as many as 16 in the third quarter but let the Nuggets creep within 87-80 entering the final stanza. Robinson brought Denver within three on a pair of occasions in the fourth and Chandler hit a 3-pointer to cut it to 111-108 with 1:09 remaining, but that was as close as it got.
The teams traded offensive punches for most of the first half before Irving scored eight points during a 10-2 spurt that put the Cavaliers in control at 58-46. Cleveland took a 68-57 lead into the break after shooting 56.5 percent and getting 13 points apiece from Irving, Thompson and Miles.
GAME NOTEBOOK: Cleveland's 68 first-half points are its most in any half this season. … Cavaliers C Anderson Varejao collected seven points, 16 rebounds and seven assists and has grabbed 11 or more rebounds in 10 of the last 11 games. … Denver went 14-for-37 from 3-point range and has made 12 or more 3s in six of its last seven games.
