Nuggets 97, Grizzlies 92: Danilo Gallinari scored six of his 26 points in the final two minutes of the game as visiting Denver rallied to snap Memphis' eight-game win streak and cool off the hottest team in the NBA.
JaVale McGee scored 15 points, including a putback with 46.7 seconds left to give Denver the lead for good at 92-91. Kenneth Faried added 13 points and 13 boards, and the Nuggets snapped their three-game losing streak.
Zach Randolph amassed 12 points and 13 rebounds for his 10th double-double in as many games for Memphis (8-2), which had won 15 straight regular-season home games dating back to the tail end of the 2011-12 campaign. Rudy Gay had a team-high 22 points and four of the Grizzlies' five starters scored in double digits.
It was a highly contentious game with 12 lead changes and 12 ties. Denver led by as many as seven early in the fourth period, but Memphis battled back and held a 92-88 lead entering the final two minutes.
Gallinari hit three free throws to keep the Nuggets in striking distance, setting the stage for McGee's putback. Then Gallinari sank a 3-pointer with 12.7 seconds left that was a dagger to Memphis' win streak.
