NUGGETS 101, MAGIC 74: Danilo Gallinari and JaVale McGee scored 17 points apiece to lead host Denver past injury-riddled Orlando.
The win moved the Nuggets a half-game ahead of Dallas for sixth place in the Western Conference.
Arron Afflalo scored 15 points while Ty Lawson had 13 points. Denver had 32 assists, led by Andre Miller with 11 and Lawson with 10.
Ryan Anderson scored 24 points while Glen Davis had 14 for Orlando, which has lost both games since Dwight Howard had season-ending back surgery last week. The Magic are 3-7 without their All-Star center.
Orlando's injury problems continued when Jameer Nelson strained his left calf less than two minutes into the game and didn't return. In addition to Howard being out, forward Hedo Turkoglu has missed the last nine games with a facial fracture.
Denver took control after the game was tied at 44-44 at halftime. The Nuggets used a 10-2 run late in the third quarter and built the lead to 91-71 with just over three minutes remaining in the game.
Kenneth Faried had 11 points and 10 rebounds for Denver.
The Nuggets finish with two road games against Oklahoma City on Wednesday and Minnesota on Thursday.
GAME NOTEBOOK: The Magic host Charlotte on Wednesday and play at Memphis on Thursday. ... Turkoglu is questionable for the playoffs....Nuggets forward Al Harrington, who has been playing with a torn meniscus in his right knee, was given the night off by coach George Karl.
