CLIPPERS 103, SUNS 86: Blake Griffin had 27 points and 14 rebounds as host Los Angeles beat Phoenix.

Chris Paul had 15 points and 15 assists as the Clippers won their third straight game and beat the Suns for just the second time in the last 15 meetings.

Marcin Gortat scored 23 points and Steve Nash had 15 assists for Phoenix, which lost for the second straight night.

Griffin hit 14 of 19 field-goal attempts to continue a three-game run of good shooting. Griffin has connected on 28 of 38 shots during the stretch.

Los Angeles used a 16-6 run to close the third quarter and take a 74-64 lead. Phoenix started the final quarter by missing its first seven field-goal attempts and the Clippers’ lead reached 13 points on a 3-pointer by Nick Young.

The Suns pulled with 81-74 on Channing Frye’s basket with 6:50 to play before the Clippers responded with nine consecutive points. Nick Young’s three-point play made it 90-74 with 4:32 remaining.

Caron Butler scored 14 points and DeAndre Jordan added 13 for the Clippers.

Frye scored 16 points for the Suns, who shot just 37.5 percent from the field and were 5 of 26 from 3-point range.

Nash had eight assists in the first quarter to help Phoenix to a 27-24 lead. He had just one in the second quarter and Los Angeles led 43-41 at halftime.
