Pau Gasol had 26 points and 12 rebounds and Lamar Odom also had a double-double as the Los Angeles Lakers routed the visiting Golden State Warriors 107-83 on Sunday night.
Odom tallied 16 points and 14 rebounds and Kobe Bryant poured in 20 points as the Lakers improved to 3-0 while handing Golden State (2-1) its first loss of the season.
The Lakers jumped all over the Warriors, leading by 20 points after one quarter, and were never seriously threatened.
Monta Ellis had 20 points to pace Golden State, while Dorell Wright added 18. The Warriors played without starting point guard Stephen Curry, who aggravated an ankle injury in Friday’s victory over the Los Angeles Clippers.
Derek Fisher (14 points) also scored in double figures for Los Angeles.
David Lee, Golden State’s prized free-agent acquisition, was scoreless with just three rebounds in 19 minutes while committing five turnovers.
The Warriors trailed 56-38 at halftime and didn’t shoot a free throw the entire first half.
