Kobe Bryant scored 24 points Tuesday to lead the Los Angeles Lakers to a 90-79 victory over the host Minnesota Timberwolves, their 14th consecutive win in the series.
Los Angeles (43-19) has won five straight games since the All-Star break and continued its dominance of Minnesota. The Lakers haven't lost to the Timberwolves since March 6, 2007.
Minnesota (14-47) has lost eight of nine and continued the poor play that has dropped it to the bottom of the Western Conference. The Timberwolves have won only six times in 2011.
Kevin Love scored 13 points with 11 rebounds, extending his double-double streak to 47 games. Rookie Wesley Johnson led Minnesota with 20 points.
Minnesota scored the last seven points of the second quarter to take a 45-40 halftime lead. Johnson's 3-pointer put Minnesota ahead, 58-52, with 4:38 remaining in the third quarter, but the Lakers took over at that point.
Los Angeles went on a 22-5 run that extended into the fourth quarter, opening a 74-63 lead with 9:22 to play.
Andrew Bynum scored 14 points, Pau Gasol added 12 and 17 rebounds and Lamar Odom 12 and 11 for the Lakers.
