Caron Butler scored a season-high 23 points and Tyson Chandler had 14 points and 17 rebounds as the Dallas Mavericks defeated the visiting Miami Heat 106-95 on Saturday.
Dirk Nowitzki scored 22 points as the Mavericks (12-4) won their fifth consecutive contest.
LeBron James scored 23 points for Miami (9-8), while Chris Bosh and Dwyane Wade scored 22 points apiece. Dallas limited Miami to 41.3 percent shooting and James made just 5-of-19 shots.
The victory was the second impressive one in two nights for Dallas. The Mavericks ended San Antonio’s 12-game winning streak on Friday.
Jason Kidd had 13 assists and eight rebounds for the Mavericks. Shawn Marion scored 14 points, Jose Barea had 13 points and Jason Terry scored 12.
Dallas led 51-49 at halftime before outscoring Miami 31-17 in the third quarter to take a 16-point lead.
Chandler’s double-double was his fourth of the season and Nowitzki topped 20 points for the eight consecutive game.
