Alex Dickerson smacked a three-run homer and Donovan Solano also went deep and had three RBIs as the San Francisco Giants rolled to a 7-1 victory over the Arizona Diamondbacks on Wednesday night at Phoenix.
Buster Posey added a run-scoring double and Tommy La Stella had two hits and two walks as the Giants maintained their 3 1/2-game lead over the Los Angeles Dodgers in the National League West.
San Francisco right-hander Kevin Gausman (10-5) gave up one run and five hits over six innings to end a three-start winless stretch. Gausman struck out eight and walked none as the Giants won for the seventh time in the past 10 games.
Asdrubal Cabrera had a run-scoring single for Arizona, which lost for the fourth time in five games.
Diamondbacks right-hander Zac Gallen (1-6) allowed three runs and four hits over 5 2/3 innings. He struck out six and walked three while losing his sixth straight decision.
San Francisco took control of the contest with a four-run seventh inning, a frame in which it should have gone down in order.
LaMonte Wade Jr. came up with two outs and no runners on base, and Arizona's Jake Faria got him to swing at strike three. However, the pitch was wild, and Wade reached first safely to extend the inning.
La Stella followed with a walk and Posey stroked an RBI double to left to make it 4-1.
Dickerson then sent his three-run shot over the fence in right, his 12th homer of the season.
Three San Francisco relievers combined to hold Arizona to one hit in three innings.
Solano started the scoring when he hit a slider over the fence in left to cap an eight-pitch at-bat against Gallen with two outs in the fourth. The 410-foot blast was his fifth homer of the season.
Solano battled again in the sixth. La Stella led off the inning with a single and Dickerson drew a one-out walk. Both runners moved up a base on a two-out wild pitch by Gallen.
Solano fell behind 0-2 but hit the fifth pitch into right field for a single to drive in La Stella and Dickerson and make it 3-0.
Arizona got on the board in the bottom of the frame. David Peralta and Kole Calhoun started the inning with singles and Cabrera lined a one-out single to right-center to score Peralta.
