Diamondbacks 3, Nationals 2 (11): Didi Gregorius dropped down an RBI bunt single with one out in the top of the 11th inning to help visiting Arizona salvage the finale of a three-game series.

The teams were tied 2-2 from the sixth inning on before Miguel Montero led off the 11th with a double against Craig Stammen (4-3). Cody Ross bunted pinch runner A.J. Pollock to third and Jason Kubel walked before Gregorius placed a beauty down the first-base line to score the go-ahead run.

The rally made a winner of Josh Collmenter (4-0) and Heath Bell picked up his 14th save as the Diamondbacks' bullpen combined to record four scoreless innings. Starter Patrick Corbin gave up two runs in seven strong innings in his fifth straight no-decision to remain stuck on 9-0.

Both of the Nationals' runs came on an Ian Desmond homer in the fourth. The Diamondbacks tied it on a two-run shot in the sixth by Aaron Hill off Washington starter Stephen Strasburg, who matched Corbin through seven innings before it became a battle of the bullpens.

Desmond's homer, his seventh of the month, came with Adam LaRoche aboard. Corbin singled and scored on Hill's blast two innings later and Arizona survived into the 11th before improving to 9-2 in extra-inning affairs.
