Reds 8, Pirates 1: After saving a diner at a Pittsburgh restaurant from choking earlier in the day, Cincinnati's Todd Frazier had a double, a triple and two RBIs to lead the first-place Reds.
Homer Bailey (4-3) tossed a four-hitter, allowing one run to win his third straight start and improve to 6-0 in eight starts against Pittsburgh. It was Bailey's second career complete game and his first since 2010.
Frazier, who reportedly used the Heimlich Maneuver to save a man from choking on a piece of steak Tuesday, doubled home a run in the first and added an RBI triple in the fourth.
Jay Bruce added three hits and two RBIs for the Reds, who have won nine of 11.
Pirates starter Charlie Morton (2-6) lasted only four innings, allowing four runs on six hits. Morton has lost three straight starts and five of his last six.
GAME NOTEBOOK: The start of the game was delayed about two hours because of rain. ... The Reds extended their lead in the National League Central to 1 1/2 games over St. Louis, which lost 5-4 at Atlanta.
